Aruba is a Caribbean paradise that doesn't forget the family. With a spectacular natural environment, great sports and entertainment Aruba offers an array of activities for every generation - Parents and grandparents, teenagers and toddlers can enjoy the island's activities throughout the year.Many of Aruba's resorts also provide supervised children's programs, professional day care and baby sitting services year-round. The following are some of the year-round programs offered to younger hotel guests:
Kids Klub
Offered by Wyndham Aruba Beach Resort & Casino, this club presents numerous activities and water sports. "Kids Klub" registrants receive 50 percent off adjoining rooms to parents. The program is free of charge and is available daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The 'Yuana" Club is a paid program for children ages 5 - 13
Little Rascals Club
Tiny tots staying at the Holiday Inn Aruba Beach Resort & Casino can participate at no charge in the "Little Rascals Club" program featuring a variety of wholesome supervised activities such as three-legged races, singing circles, and beach Olympics. Other popular activities include swimming races in the pool, kids aerobics, special kids movies and musical chairs. In addition, each day's activities begin at 10 a.m. and end shortly after 6:00 p.m., seven days a week.
Just us Kids
The "Just Us Kids" program at the Renaissance Aruba Beach Resort at Seaport Village is available for children ages 5-12. Children receive a "Just Us Kids" T-Shirt on the first day of registration. The day program features daily activities such as field trips to Baby Beach, island caves, Casibari Rock Formations and the Natural Bridge, horseback riding getaways, pool games, a Visit to a local museum and beach Olympics on Renaissance Island. A fee is charged for transportation on the "Just Us Kids" Van and meals. The evening program, available from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m., features fun activities such as mini golf, movies, board games, arts and crafts, a visit to a playground or a scenic stroll through the town. Kids can enjoy special dinners including pizza, burgers and Italian favorites. A fee also covers this session.
Club Cabana Nana
La Cabana All Suite Beach Resort & Casino's "Club Cabana Nana" program was created for children ages 5-12. The club keeps the youngsters on the go by incorporating educational and cultural elements into the program. Each child receives a "Club Cabana Nana" T-shirt and lunch daily. Kids can participate in planned activities such as scavenger hunts, lessons in Papiamento (the island's native language), botanical tours around the property, mini-golf, pool and beach games, sand caste building, tennis lessons, talent show, face and T-shirt painting, kids' aerobics and more. The program is offered daily from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. On Wednesdays, the program runs from 5 - 8:30 p.m. Teens ages 13-17 can join the 'Teen Cabana Culture Club' program featuring activities such as bowling, playing tennis, taking snorkeling and windsurfing lessons in the pool, and partying at special "socials" and more. The program fee is on a per-activity basis.
Camp Watapana
Children can play all day at the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort and Casino's new kids' facility. This youth program is designed to keep children challenged and entertained, while teaching them about the destination. Activities include lessons in Papiamento, sand castle building and nature walks around the Resort Decorated in festive Dutch Caribbean style, the children's facility includes a Nintendo playstation, an outdoor playground and over 100 different types of games and toys Movies, popcorn, basketball and t-shirt painting are also included on the activities roster, Camp Watapana runs year-round and is divided into morning-afternoon (9 a.m. - 3 p.m.) and afternoon-evening (6 p.m. - 10 p.m.) sessions.
