Located on the east side of Matira Point is the elegant InterContinental recognized as a perfect honeymoon hotel. All 50 of the over-the-water units have air conditioning. There are also 13 beachside bungalow including two with the suite configuration, each with private terrace. The interiors and furnishings of all units have been completely redone and the main hotel has undergone a major facelift as well. The bar is now a full lounge, and a new activities fare is situated near the pool area. The grounds are lushly planted and feel quite private. Activities include the usual water sports and sunset cruises. The food at the resort is nouvelle cuisine.
